This position is under the direct supervision of the Memorial Medical Center (MMC) Security Operations team, shift supervisor, for the assigned shift.  This position is responsible for assisting the MMC Emergency Department (ED) Security Controller for the protection, safeguarding, safety, and security of assets, property, personnel, patients and all visitors, within the MMC ED and hospital in general.  Perform all appropriate related and unrelated duties, as directed. This is a physical security position.

Required Experience

Education:
• Must have successfully completed a certified police academy, (PTI or equivalent), 400 plus hour, law enforcement academy.
• Completion of Memorial’s Mandt training within 3 months of hire.
Licensure/Certification/Registry:
• Must be able to maintain any applicable state, county, and municipal licensing and permit requirements for armed police/security work and specific protective device and weapons qualifications.

Experience:
• Must maintain employment with a local municipal, city, county, or state police department, in good standing, and approved for off-duty work utilizing police department equipment (i.e. uniforms, weapon, vehicle (if issued), etc.) Proof of approved off-duty work required before hire.

Work toward successful completion of the registry examination of the ARDMS is required. New sonographers will have 36 months from date of hire to obtain the proper credential.  (RDCS for cardiac, RVT for vascular).

  1. Assesses patients’ conditions and response to respiratory therapy by checking patients pulse, blood pressure, respiratory frequency, tidal volume, inspiratory pressure, cough, sputum, breath sounds, and other pertinent data that relates to the patient.   1. Recognizes signs of cardiopulmonary arrest and/or failure and assists in performing CPR procedures. Also must be able to recognize life-threatening arrhythmias or EKG strips.

Education, Experience, and/or Other Requirements

Must be ARDMS or RCS registered or be actively pursuing registration. 

One year of clinical experience in a progressive Ultrasound Department or Ultrasound Training Program that meets with the ARDMS requirements for registry eligibility is required. 

Prefer previous experience as a Registered ARRT Technologist.  

Must have a valid driver’s license in order to drive to outreach sites and screening events. 

Must be CPR certified.
