    • Assists in inventory of clinical supplies; checks expiration dates; maintains clean, well-equipped exam rooms, laboratory and procedure room.
  • Assumes personal responsibility for quality patient care, environment of care, and professional development.
  • Assists in coordinating and implementing policies in compliance with all regulatory standards.
  • Reports ideas and concerns to supervisor concerning improved patient care, customer service, and efficient clinical operations.

Required Skills

  1. Properly position patient and equipment according to radiologist protocols. Select proper technical factors to obtain quality images. Utilize knowledge of anatomy and pathology in order to produce high quality images.
  2. Under the direction of a physician, administer appropriate contrast agents according to department protocol and maintain current knowledge of these agents and their indications/contraindications.
  3. Ensure appropriate consent forms and patient history forms are completed and signed.
  4. Ensure that exams are completed in a prompt manner for interpretation.
  5. Uses filtration devices (i.e. boluses, filters), FFD, film-screen combinations, photocell selection, etc. to obtain highest quality images.
  6. Utilize effective patient care and communication skills to obtain optimum patient rapport.

  13. Use beam restriction devices to consistently minimize radiation exposure to patients.
  14. Participate in routine call assignment.
  15. Maintain cleanliness of rooms, equipment, and other work areas and assist with transportation of patients.
  16. Assist students with other technologist with CT and Radiographic procedures.
  17. Assist all new technologists with training and guidance in learning CT.
  18. Work with Radiologist to assist with the development and maintenance of procedure protocols.
  19. Perform clerical tasks, which include scheduling exams and faxing results.

– Outpatient only
– Call rotation – Oncall varies depending on location and clinic partner pool. Telenurse provides after-hours triaging for the physicians. Telenurse triages and follows set protocols to reduce the volume of phone calls/pages the physicians receive after-hours. Call volume is minimalized with triage services.
– Clinic visits: 18-22 per day

Position Requirments:

– Unrestrictive Illinois license prior to start
