Maintains a safe and secure environment for patients, visitor, employees, and physicians. Provides a visible presence while patrolling and inspecting the property. Intervenes in difficult and sometimes physical situations to ensure the safety of patients, visitors, employees and physicians.

Required Skills
- Patrols buildings and grounds including fixed posts, walking patrols, or mobile patrols using company vehicle to travel around and between Memorial locations.

Required Experience

Education:
- High School Diploma, or the equivalency, is required.
Licensure/Certification/Registry:
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification within 30 days of job placement is required.
- Must possess valid Illinois driver’s license and must be deemed as an acceptable driver in accordance with the MHS Fleet Safety Policy. Five year MVR will be required). Must be able to operate automatic shift vehicle.
Experience:

The Baylis Day Surgery Department provides outpatient surgeries in the specialties that include, but aren’t limited to Plastics, Orthopedics, General, Urology, Breast, Gynecology, ENT, Ophthalmology, Dental and Pain Management. The Baylis Registered Nurse (RN) encompasses continuity of care from admission though discharge process. The Pre/Post Op Nurse admits and prepares patients for surgical procedures, and later recovers for discharge. While the Circulator Nurse escorts the patient to the OR and then will position, prep, and serve as the liaison between the surgeon and family members, keeping the family up to date. Upon completion of the procedure, the Circulator Nurse will transfer the patient to the stretcher and take to the recovery room.

A Cardiac Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for medical and surgical cardiac patients, and post-cardiac-cath patients; TAVR patients; ablation and vascular surgical patients, and also receives post-open heart patients. The Cardiac Unit has Coronary Care Unit beds for closer observation of acute MI patients and those requiring IMC care with cardiac/vascular condition. The cardiac cath patients include pacemaker/ICD placements and aneurysm repairs, as well as the traditional cardiac cath/stent placements. All beds have “on-site” telemetry monitoring.

The Baylis Day Surgery Department provides outpatient surgeries in the specialties that include, but aren’t limited to Plastics, Orthopedics, General, Urology, Breast, Gynecology, ENT, Ophthalmology, Dental and Pain Management. The Baylis Registered Nurse (RN) encompasses continuity of care from admission though discharge process. The Pre/Post Op Nurse admits and prepares patients for surgical procedures, and later recovers for discharge. While the Circulator Nurse escorts the patient to the OR and then will position, prep, and serve as the liaison between the surgeon and family members, keeping the family up to date. Upon completion of the procedure, the Circulator Nurse will transfer the patient to the stretcher and take to the recovery room.
