The Horizons Program
Secure Your Employment Path with Hands-on Training
The Horizons Program is a unique opportunity for those pursuing a degree in radiology, sonography, respiratory therapy, physical therapy, surgical technology or nurse anesthesia (CRNA), as well as some nursing (BSN) students.*
*Eligible students must be enrolled at University of Chicago College of Nursing-Springfield Regional Campus.

Eligibility
The Horizons Program is open to external candidates and current colleagues of Memorial Health who are in their first year of program study and will graduate in May 2026.
Requirements
To qualify, you must be enrolled in an accredited allied or eligible nursing program that aligns with Memorial’s workforce needs. You must also maintain the minimum required GPA and have completed all prerequisite coursework.
Getting Started
To get started, complete an employment application and an interview as part of the competitive selection process. Individuals who are selected for the Horizons Program must maintain satisfactory academic progress, have no active corrective actions on file and exhibit behaviors that align with Memorial’s values.

Work at Memorial Health as a per diem colleague while attending school. Gain valuable hands-on experience while working alongside Memorial clinicians. After graduating and meeting all licensing requirements, you’ll be placed in a full-time role designated by Memorial Health.
