Springfield Memorial Hospital has earned a rare five-fold accreditation for its rehabilitation services from the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF). Memorial is only one of four healthcare organizations in the world—and the only one in Illinois—to receive full, three-year accreditations from CARF for five rehabilitation services program areas: Inpatient rehabilitation, adults and children; brain-injury inpatient rehabilitation, adults and children; spinal cord system of care, adults and children; multiple service outpatient medical rehabilitation, adults and children; and stroke inpatient specialty.
