Manages, designs, modifies, operates, and maintains tracking systems including liability loss runs, claim reports,

self-insured trust reserves, and other required financial reports. Manages and adjusts premises, general, property,

and other liability claims directly with claimants .

Required Skills

Review and evaluate in the insurance program to assure we have all appropriate risks covered for financial stability.

2. Work directly with the insurance brokers and carriers to provide detailed information about Memorial Health risk to allow them to provide comprehensive policies, contracts, and programs.

3. Directly adjust liability claims for all MHS affiliates

4. Recommend appropriate levels of compensation to claimants.

6. Establish appropriate financial reserves to pay claimants for medical care, legal fees, and related costs.

7. Work directly with Memorial Health inside and outside legal counsel and insurance carriers in resolving liability claims.

8. Act as the Memorial Health liaison to all affiliates in reference to insurance questions, coverages, policy contracts, and limits.

9. Work directly with all affiliates to correct hazards found during general liability claims to assure the claim is not paid and that it is corrected.

10. Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Experience

Education:

· Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or risk management field required.

· Master’s Degree in Business Administration preferred.

Licensure/Certification/Registry:

Experience:

· Minimum 10 years of experience supporting insurance and claims adjusting programs required, healthcare

experience preferred.

Other Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

· Documented evidence of ability to successfully adjust liability claims.

· Documented evidence of ability to support commercial insurance administration support.

· Effective communication and fair judgment while dealing with claimants.
