The cafeteria aide serves customers in the cafeteria. Stocks and performs general cleaning in the cafeteria area to department standards.

- Serves food in prescribed safe manner using designated utensils.
- Completes transactions for cafeteria.
- Maintains food and service stocks in the cafeteria
- Cleans -areas and equipment.
- Handles customer’s complaints.
- Maintains records of temperatures as prescribed.
- Assesses food for quality in temperature and appearance, reporting problems to supervisor if product does not meet standard.
- Performs other related work as required or requested.
Required Experience
Education:
- GED or High School graduate preferred.
Other Knowledge/Skills/Abilities/Working Conditions-Physical Requirements & Atmosphere:
- Moderate physical effort, with ability to push, pull, and lift up to 30 lbs. and stand for extended time.
- Knowledge of principles of food safety and sanitation.
- Ability to interpret, understand and follow verbal and written instructions.
- Demonstrate excellent customer service skills.
