Position Summary

Day Shift

Responsible for oversight and coordination of clinical activities of the Wound Care Center including but not limited to use of organizational skills, leadership, planning, implementing, evaluating, and providing patient care through the use of hospital and nursing standards.  The Manager, Clinical Services shares accountability for healing outcomes in the Wound Healing Center, which includes clinical practice guidelines and patient satisfaction leading to the success of the program. The Manager, Clinical Services provides direct leadership and oversight of the clinical staff of the Wound Healing Center while assisting in patient care on an as-needed basis.

Required Experience

Education:

·         BSN required.
Licensure/Certification/Registry:

·         Registered Nurse with current license in the state of IL required.   

·         CPR certification required.
Experience:

·         Minimum of three years clinical nursing experience required. Previous wound care experience preferred.

·         Minimum of three years previous supervisory experience required.

·         Experience with department budgets, employee performance management, collaboration with other healthcare teams, physician engagement and process improvement strongly preferred.
Other Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

·         Maintains and demonstrates competency in infections control, safety and all unit required skill review.

·         Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

·         Ability to work with mathematical and logical concepts.

·         Must be able to use Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, as well as web-based database programs and the Internet.

·         Required competencies include:  planning/organizing, supervising people, multitasking, problem solving, leadership, teamwork, professionalism, change management, developing others, customer service, & interpersonal skills.
