Position Summary

Day Shift

Working as a Maintenance Mechanic III/Locksmith at LMH you will work under minimal supervision, repairs and maintains doors, locks, keys and panic hardware.  Builds new walls and ceiling assembles.  Performs preventive maintenance on hospital equipment and systems.  Provides security where needed.  Embodies the Memorial Health System Performance Excellence Standards of Safety, Courtesy, Quality, and Efficiency that support our mission, vision and values.

Required Experience

Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Vocational or trade school course work in carpentry preferred.

Licensure/Certification/Registry:

  • Must possess valid Illinois driver’s license and must be deemed as an acceptable driver in accordance with the MHS Fleet Safety Policy (five year MVR will be required).

Experience:

  • Minimum of four years building and maintenance experience required.

Other Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Demonstrated ability to read and understand blueprints.
  • Analytical skills necessary to estimate building costs and needed quantities of materials and supplies.
