We have opportunities for nursing professionals at every level of our team, including recent graduates, who receive a carefully planned combination of on-the-job and classroom education. Our nationally recognized, Vizient 10-month nurse residency program is designed to support the success of new graduate nurses as they transition from novice to consummate professional with guidance from trained preceptors and veteran RN mentors.

Developed from an evidence-based curriculum that is customized to reflect our values and mission, it is offered twice a year, with sessions starting in September and April. Emphasizing leadership, professional roles, growth and development, and patient outcomes, it offers opportunities for networking and reinforcing your confidence and commitment to nursing.

    Located in Springfield, Illinois, Memorial Medical Center is the facility most closely associated with Memorial Health System because it is our founding hospital. We pride ourselves on leadership, and some consider us to be a “flagship.” Yet all of the facilities in our network carry the banner of excellence, setting an example for others to follow.

    As a Magnet-designated acute-care facility and a Level I Trauma Hospital, we offer comprehensive inpatient and outpatient services. With 500 licensed beds, we perform more than 20,000 surgical procedures and serve 400,000 outpatient visits a year.
