Position Summary:

The Epic Change Management Consultant II is responsible for developing and managing change initiatives for system implementations and optimizations. This role plays a key part in stakeholder engagement, communication strategies, and adoption monitoring, ensuring effective transitions for end users. This role works closely with the education team and stakeholders to drive successful transitions and ensure effective user adoption of new processes and technologies.

Required Skills

  1. Assists Epic trainers in developing and delivering Epic training programs for end users.
  2. Provides input on training materials, including e-learning modules, user guides, and job aids.
  3. Collaborates with training teams to ensure change management activities are integrated into training schedules, focusing on helping end-users understand and embrace the new system.
  4. Supports trainers in classroom, virtual, and one-on-one training sessions, as needed
  5. Develops and implements change management plans for Epic system enhancements and workflow changes.
  6. Works with project managers, clinical leads, and operational leaders to assess the impact of system changes.
  7. Facilitates stakeholder engagement sessions to address concerns and improve system adoption.
  8. Creates and executes user readiness assessments and track adoption effectiveness.
  9. Acts as a key liaison between IT, clinical, and operational teams to bridge system functionality and user needs.
  10. Manages Epic super user networks and ensure effective peer support.
  11. Develops executive summaries, presentations, and reports on training and adoption metrics.

Colleague Knowledge – Job Information

Required Experience

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Organization Development, Organization Psychology, Health Informatics, Education, Information Systems, or a related field preferred.

Epic Certification:

  • PROSCI certification desired (or similar change methodology certification)
  • Epic Credentialed Trainer (CT) is a plus (or willingness to obtain certification within a specified timeframe).

Other Requirements:

  • Three of more years’ experience in change management, project management or IT required.
  • Strong experience with adult learning instructional techniques and facilitation.
  • Ability to analyze workflows, system configurations, and user feedback to drive improvements.
  • Prior experience working in clinical, operational, or IT environments with Epic implementations.
  • Adept at communicating complex information clearly and concisely to executive leadership, fostering alignment on strategic initiatives, and effectively presenting data-driven insights to support decision-making.
