CT Technologist II- IP Rad
Position Summary
Works closely with radiologist to perform Computerized Tomography patient examinations, contributing to the efficient operation of the department and promoting the philosophy, to ensure the quality and continuity of patient care. Maintains the standard of care delivered to infants, toddlers, preschool and school age children, adolescents, adults and geriatrics.

Required Skills
Essential Functions and Job Duties
- Performs all computerized tomography studies in accordance with established standards and procedures.
- Checks all CT equipment for quality control.
- Injects contrast media under the supervision of the Radiologist.
- Consults with Radiologist and ordering physician to provide appropriate patient care.
- Adheres to all safety precautions for patients and self.
- Obtains IV competency within ninety days of start date.
- Remains flexible in accepting rotating schedules as requested.
- Maintains IDNS license and ARRT registrations as required; remains current in developing trends in the field of diagnostic radiology. Current CPR certification. Obtain IV competency within ninety days of start date.
- Maintains clean, neat, and orderly work area; maintains appropriate supply levels.
- Works well with employees; treats patients with respect and confidentiality.
- Identifies life-threatening conditions; implements life-sustaining actions.
- Processes patients and coordinates multiple examinations with other sections of the department.
- Enters patient data and charges.
- Assists in coordinating the performance of routine radiology on CT patients.
- Assists in the instruction of student technologists in CT scanning.
- Performs other duties as assigned. Is authorized to access contrast media.
Required Experience
Education, Experience and/or Other Requirements
Must be a graduate of approved School of Radiologic Technology with ARRT registration and State of Illinois License.
The employee must receive ongoing formalized educational program for maintaining competency.
