Position Summary
****$20,000 Sign On Bonus Opportunity****
Registered Nurse (RN) – General Medical/Surgical Unit (4B): All private rooms with mostly middle to older adult population. Nurses care for all types of medical patients, including post-surgical patients. A wide range of opportunities include central lines, IV’s, PCAs, medication administration, wound care with dressing changes, care of dialysis patients, chest tubes, NG, variety of drainage tubes, Ostomy/ileostomy care, complex comorbidity, patient education.

Required Skills
- Performs age appropriate assessments.
- Analyzes data to identify nursing problems.
- Provides direct patient care, develops individualized plan of care in partnership with patients & families. Evaluates patient progress toward attainment of goals, revising plan of care when indicated.
- Delegates patient care tasks to LPNs and unlicensed assistive personnel based on job description and patient needs.
- Appropriately supervises performance of LPNs and unlicensed assistive personnel.
- Builds teamwork when supervising and delegating to others.
- Documents patient care according to policies and procedures.
- Ensures appropriate implementation of physician’s orders
Required Experience
Licensure/Certification/Registry:
– Current RN license in the State of Illinois required.
– Healthcare Provider or Instructor BLS certification required within 30 days of hire.
– ACLS Provider or Instructor certification required within one year of hire date.
Education Requirements:
– BSN preferred, but not required.
