Jacksonville Memorial Hospital (JMH) is the largest critical access hospital in Illinois and has provided healthcare services to residents of Brown, Cass, Green, Morgan and Scott counties since 1875. JMH has received Magnet® Designation for nursing excellence four consecutive times, most recently in 2023. The American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) also announced JMH as a Pathway to Excellence® hospital. The award recognizes JMH as a hospital that demonstrates a commitment to establishing a healthy workplace for colleagues.

Memorial Health is involved with many Jacksonville community support programs, including Healthy Jacksonville–which widens healthcare access–and a grant that allows shoppers to use a Link card to purchase food at the Jacksonville Farmers Market.
